Here is a picture of the slide out shelves... I've stained the two on the right.... I will be staining the other two shortly. Then polyurethane them over the weekend... they will look shiny then. : )

Thanksgiving is only 15 days away... 

Making life easier

16 years ago we remodeled our kitchen... we put in new cabnets among other things.

The cabnet below was one big bottom shelf with a small shelf along the back.

16 years ago I could squat down and retrieve items from that back shelf and under it... over the years the ability to do so has changed for the worst.

My son Nicholas went to "Alfred State College of Technology" and took Building Trades...

   I asked him to build me new shelves in that big cabnet...

 that slide out... I just LOVE them!

I have to stain and polyurethane them, but I am so happy to have them done.

He also replaced our back door today...

The old one was falling apart and the door knob, that wasn't that old, jamed, so it had to be cut out of the door. The door jam still needs some insulation put in around it and the molding put back, but atleast we now have a door that works.

I am Happy!

As Fall Fades

Leaves are falling off the trees...

as vivid colors fade to brown,

people raking, children playing...

leaves all over the ground.

Our cats like to watch the leaves falling too!
